Volunteering is no longer a one way street. Think of five important reasons why people should volunteer and advertise this consistently throughout your programme. It helps to first create an advertising creative collateral to entice volunteers to stick around and give you a list of their motivations. The more creative you can get, the more eyes you will attract.

Here are some reasons why youths would choose to volunteer with your organisation: 

1. Interest in the cause

2. Interest in the programme

3. Pragmatic concerns such as convenience and time

4. A familiarity with the current volunteer family they are with

And here are some reasons why youths will stay with your organisation:

1. The innate nature to want to help others when they believe in a cause

2. To gain new experiences outside of a normal school life

3. To learn and develop a new skillset

4. To meet and network with new and interesting individuals of different backgrounds

5. To boost their resumes
