Clear Communication

Having clear communication with your volunteers is essential in ensuring a positive experience for them. Be transparent with them on their roles and responsibilities, even if it might not be as pleasant. Most importantly, highlight the impact of their role on the service users and your organisation in relation to the service users so they can understand the purpose behind their role better.

 

You should also highlight expected outcomes to your volunteers and always be transparent when communicating to them.
