After understanding your volunteers you can start deciding how you can further support them
Are your volunteers ready?
​Before presenting more responsibilities and opportunities for your volunteers, you need to ensure that your volunteers are willing to explore more in your organisation. ​

Has the volunteer expressed an interest in other volunteer roles within your organisation?

Has the volunteer completed all required volunteer training?

Does he/she possess the relevant skills and attributes for the new role? If not, what support will be able to provide them?

Will he/she be able to commit to the minimum term required? If not, are there any flexible arrangements you can explore with the volunteer?

What are the volunteer’s motivations to take up the roles?

Look out for recommendations from peers, staff, feedback from service users and the volunteer’s length of service.
