ENGAGEMENT

Getting management to engage in on-the-ground volunteering

In today’s context, a flat hierarchy is often preferred.

Use your volunteer activities and programmes as an opportunity for upper management to interact directly with the volunteers who work hard on the ground. Upper management will be able to understand firsthand the joys and tears of volunteers in their organisations while volunteers will be able to intermingle with upper management and voice any concerns that they have.
