Volunteers want to know that their contributions made a change in society. It is nice to let volunteers be aware of the impact after their volunteer session no matter how small it is. It helps them feel connected to the cause if they can visualise the big picture.

 

After a volunteering session, besides asking for their feedback, try engaging your volunteers in a reflection session! This helps volunteers internalise the impact that they have just created and to also see the collective impact they have done as a group by hearing from other volunteers as well.
