BRANDING

Volunteer-initiated recruitment efforts

Volunteers have a better perspective on both the on-the-ground needs of the service users and the wants of the volunteers. This allows them to come up with meaningful ideas that would directly help both parties.  To start, the SSA must create an environment where volunteers will be willing to take initiative and feel safe to present their ideas to the SSA.

Provide a proposal template to help them formulate a programme:

  1. Applicant Details

    1. Name

    2. Role

    3. Team Members

    4. Contact (Mobile Number and Email)

  2. Description of Project

    1. Name and overview for programme

    2. Details: Location, Date, Duration

    3. Programme Flow

    4. Outreach (Beneficiaries and Volunteers)

    5. Benefit

    6. Possible Risks

  3. Manpower and Funding Needs

    1. Manpower needed

    2. Budget Proposal

    3. Collaborators and Sponsors

    4. Funding limitations

    5. SOP by organisation

Arrange for sessions to discuss the idea and advise them if there are operational limitations and see if there is a creative solution to work around it. You can also rope in current volunteers to help scope recruitment plans.
